DON GETZ 'WATERCOLOR JOURNAL TOUR' OF THE USA

Planning for the tour started in February, as I looked at my 'bucket list', for those things which I wanted to achieve in my artistic life. I’ve enjoyed sharing my art knowledge with fellow artists for over fifty years. It’s a joy sketching & painting 'en plein air', over being in a studio. Journaling can be done anywhere; on a ship, a train, car or whatever. This makes it ideal for seniors who can’t or won’t lug an easel and other items used in sketching and painting.

Pemaquid Memories

Week of Oct. 8th: Residing at The Hotel Pemaquid, which Judie & I managed, back in 1989 & '90, brought back many pleasant memories. Now under new ownership of Judy & Charles Duggan, who obviously enjoy their duties, the three days went very fast with good weather for a change! ...enjoyed Saturday evening dinner at another favorite, KING EIDER'S PUB in Damarisotta, then on Route 1 south on Sunday...

These beautiful paintings have made me nostalgic for the long ago week we spent with our children in a friend's cabin on Pemaquid point high up on the rocks overlooking the ocean.
